| Birth | c Mar 1892 | Cleburn M. Shew, son of Gilford C. Shew and Lutitia Allen, was born c Mar 1892 at prob Lamar County, TX. There is no record of this child after the 1900 census -- he cannot be found in any other census, on social security records, death records, etc. There is a note in the Cemetery Records of Lamar County dated January 17, 1901: "From Rodgers & Wade Furniture Co. Funeral Records in possession of Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home; Book #2; p.579; Service #579; Mr. Shew. To be charged to Ed Crowley. Order given by Ed Crowley. Cost $25.00." If there is any link between Ed Crowley and this Shew family, it is at least possible that this is for this child's burial.1 |
