They gave Morris 6 months to live and he decided that he better make some money for the family. He was president of the Bienville Club, a board member of the Timberlane Improvement Association and a member of Sigma Chi fraternity, the Essex Club, the Pickwick Club, the Timberlane Country Club, the Chamber of Commerce, the American Bar Association and the Louisiana Bankers Association. Survivors include his wife, Arden Allan Haag; his parents, Myrtle Holley and Herschel Haag Jr; two stepsons, William IV and Brent White; two daughters, Holly and Heather Haag; and a stepdaughter, Arden White. A funeral will be held today at 2 p.m. at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. Burial will be in Metairie Cemetery." (Published in the Times-Picayune 6/2/1993).1 |
