Alexander Wilson

M, b. before 1680, d. circa 20 August 1746
Birthb 1680 Alexander Wilson was born b 1680. Alexander Wilson had grandchildren old enough to be specifically identified in his will by the time he executed it in 1745. Assuming those grandchildren were in their teens, and their parents typically in their early 20s when they were married and producing children, Alexander's birth is clearly before 1700. Moreover, his daughter Isabella's estimated birthdate (from similar calculations) is likely to have been around 1700, and thus Alexander's birth likely before 1680.
Marriage He married Mary [--M?--] Wilson. Alexander Wilson's 1745 will identified his wife as Mary; Mary Wilson handled the probate of his estate after his death in 1746.
Note1733  Alexander Wilson appeared on the 1733 Charles County tax roll: Surname: Wilson Given name: Alexander Taxables: 1 Record number: 61.
Will12 Aug 1745 Alexander Wilson left a will on 12 Aug 1745 at Charles County, MD. The will identified his wife Mary and left specific bequests to grandchildren Mary Buchanan, Cloe Owen, Ann Wilson, Alexander Wilson and William Buchanan. The will was proved on August 20, 1746 by subscribing witness George Tarvine in Charles County MD.
Deathc 20 Aug 1746 He died c 20 Aug 1746 at Charles County, MD. Alexander Wilson executed his will on August 12, 1745 and the will was proved by subscribing witness George Tarvine on August 20, 1746. The death was therefore likely to have been around August 20 1746.
Note5 Dec 1748  Mary Wilson, Alexander's widow, filed the accounting of his estate and identified five children: Nathaniel Wilson, Joseph Wilson, Isabella Buchanan, Mary Owen and Ann Boswell.
