Martha Baker1
F, b. 29 January 1790, d. 17 February 1840
| Birth | 29 Jan 1790 | Martha Baker, daughter of Charles R. Baker and Ann Blair?, was born on 29 Jan 1790. Pearl Foster O'Donnell in Wee Bit o' Scot gives Martha "Patsy" Baker's date of birth as 1791 and explains away the fact that Charles is shown with two females on the 1790 census by concluding that the census must have been taken in 1791. More likely, she was born in 1790 and family records to the contrary are in error.1 |
| Death | 17 Feb 1840 | Martha Baker died on 17 Feb 1840 at GA at age 50.2 |

Susannah Catherine Glass1
F
| Birth | | Susannah Catherine Glass, daughter of John Glass and Hesse Shew, was born at prob Wilkes County, NC.1 |
| Note | | Susannah Catherine Glass, who later married Moses Johnson in Wilkes County, reportedly "could count to 100 in the Dutch language, being taught by her grandmother who was said to be 'full-blooded' Dutch." Note that this child was called Catherine, suggesting that there was another Susannah still alive and using the name. If so, and if naming patterns held, then it is entirely likely that this child was named for her grandmother Susannah Shew and, then, that Susannah was the mother of all of Philip Shew's children.1 |

Lucinda Baker
F, b. circa 1825
| Birth | c 1825 | Lucinda Baker, daughter of James Crittenden Baker and Nancy Jane Estes?, was born c 1825 at NC. Descendants of Lucinda Baker Land, wife of Abraham Hester Land, claim that Lucinda was a daughter of James Crittenden and Nancy Baker. Their claims are consistent with the census data (among other things, Lucinda and her family were listed as next door neighbors to James and Nancy on the 1850 Polk County TN census). Moreover, a son born in 1862 was given the name John Crittenden Land. Pending additional research, Lucinda can be treated (at least for research purposes) as a child of James Crittenden and Nancy Baker.1 |
| Marriage | c 1848 | Lucinda Baker married Abraham Hester Land c 1848 at TN.2 |
| 1850 Census | 11 Nov 1850 | Lucinda Baker Land and Abraham Hester Land appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Polk County, TN, enumerated 11 Nov 1850 Abraham was shown as Easter (Hester), age 25, birthplace unknown; Lucinda was shown as age 25, born NC. Their daughter Elizabeth A. was listed as living with them. The baby was shown as age 2 months, born TN. Also enumerated with the family was an 11-year-old boy, William Hackney, born TN, whose relationship (if any) is unknown.2 |
